Description: The GCC’s construction projects and the rapid expansion into data centre and AI infrastructures has created a class of projects vulnerable to global supply chain disruption. With the concurrent near-closure of the principal maritime passages and the sustained reduction in traffic through the Red Sea–Mediterranean corridors, specialised components and materials face acute delays and cost escalation. This panel examines how these supply chain shocks are translating into construction claims and arbitration proceedings in the Gulf, using data centre projects as the primary lens.
