Rock Rose Legal is delighted to host its inaugural event, bringing together women from across the arbitration community for a morning of candid conversation and shared insights.
What do arbitrators wish counsel knew? What makes a submission persuasive? What do tribunals really want from witnesses and experts? What works in cross-examination – and what doesn’t?
OUR GUEST ARBITRATORS
Anne K. Hoffmann, Hoffmann Arbitration
Aseel Zimmo, The First Link
Fatima Balfaqeeh, Balfaqeeh Advocates & Legal Consultants
PROGRAMME
8.30am: Breakfast and networking
9.00am: Discussion and roundtables
10.30am: Optional networking
11.00am: Close
More than a panel discussion. Your chance to join the conversation.
We’ll begin with our guest arbitrators sharing their perspectives on what makes advocacy effective, what persuades a tribunal and where counsel sometimes miss the mark.
We’ll then move into smaller roundtable discussions, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly with the arbitrators, explore the issues and share key insights with the wider group.
Senior women in-house counsel and experienced UAE-based practitioners are warmly encouraged to attend and bring junior colleagues who would benefit from engaging directly with experienced arbitrators.
The discussion will take place under the Chatham House Rule, with no reference to ongoing cases.
Places are limited.
Please register your interest by 28 October 2026, including the names of any junior colleagues who may also wish to attend.
Attendance will be confirmed by email.
