The event will be dedicated to the discussion of effects of current unilateral restrictive measures and countermeasures imposed by various jurisdictions, including in relation to Ukraine, on the arbitration of disputes in such industries as construction/engineering, petrochemicals and on trading of agricultural and other resources.
Speakers will include Anton Garmoza (partner) and Reena Choudhary (counsel) of Cardinals as well as inhouse counsel from respective industries.
The panel members will share their insights about the effects of restrictive measures in their respective industries, and will discuss such issues as claims from/against subcontractors and suppliers due to failed projects, disputes arising out of disruption of supply chains, disputes relating to insurance of projects, disputes related to payments, bank guarantees and financing of projects, effect of restrictive measures on the agreed arbitration mechanism, barriers to recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards due to restrictive measures. This may be revised as per the revisions in points 2-4 above.
Presentations and discussions by the panel members will be followed by Q&A, refreshments and a networking session.
